hello! i'm marissa cheslock, a senior at the university of cincinnati college of design, architecture, art and planning, studying fashion design with a minor in marketing.
fashion has been in my blood since i was five. my grandmother patiently taught me how to sew, and ever since, i've been hooked on the magic of creating with needle and thread.
my design interests are as diverse as fashion itself. from technical aspects to the emotional impact of clothing, i am constantly curious and eager to explore every facet of the industry. but what truly fuels me is the potential to make a difference through my work.
i truly believe fashion can, and should, be a force for good. whether it's creating new opportunities, tackling industry challenges, or simply making people feel good in what they wear... i want to use my design skills to leave a positive mark on the world. (don't we all)?
some things i love outside of fashion: ted talks, ice hockey (go cyclones and blue jackets!), figure skating, plants, bubbl'r, hiking, budgeting, traveling, and peanut butter ice cream.
